A. Simple Past Tense

Is used to indicate a finished or completed action or task that occurred or happened at a specific point in time in the past. The pattern is "S + V2 + O".

- You didn't see me yesterday

- She didn't give you the book

B. Present Perfect Tense

Refers to an action or state that either occurred at an indefinite time in the past

HE / SHE / IT + HAS + V3

- He has learned English for one year
