News :

The Students of SMPN 1 Turi Drowning when scouting in Sempor river.

Some students from SMPN 1 Turi were swept away in the Sempor River, Dusun Hamlet, Donokerto Village, Turi, Sleman on Friday, February 21, 2020. There were 4 students found dead.

This activity was participated by 256 students of SMP Negeri 1 Turi. The details are 127 grade VII students and 129 grade VIII students. The students held a scouting activity for the Sempor river. When it started, it didn't rain, but the upstream conditions were already raining heavily. Floods from upriver hit students who went down the river. This incident occurred at around 15:20 Western Indonesia Time.

Some students were swept away and some drowned. Some students go straight to the surface and go home before being recorded by the school.

Until 16.00 WIB the SAR team together began to search and evacuate the victims.

Recount Text

Its purpose or goal is to entertain or inform about the past activity to the reader or listener.

Recount text can be factual information, such as a new story or procedural information, such as telling someone how you built something or personal information, such as a family holiday or your opinion on a subject.

Recalling :

simple present tense is the tenses employed when an occurrence is present or a frequent occurrence. This tenses is the most commonly used comfort in the English language.

To be : (She, He, It)

S + Verb (1) / Verb dasar / to be (is, am, are) + O

Susi Pudjiastuti is the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

She reads Harry Potter book everyday.

Normally using a few extra don't know doesn't before the verb, except for be and capital, the formula is s + don't + verb (1) + o if the verb is to be.

Susi pudjiastuti is not the ministry of maritime affairs and fisheries.

She doesn't read harry potter book everyday.

They don't watch new movies every Sunday.

Does + s + verb 1 + o says do is used if the subject is I, you, they, or we.

However, the word does is used if the subject is a third person form.

Recount Text

is a text thet telling the reader about one story, action or activity. It is goal is to entertaining or informing the reader. Recount Text is a text which retell event or experiences in the past.

The Structure of Recount Text

Orientation :

it gives the aders the background information needed to understand the text, such as who was einvolved, where it happened and when it happened.

Events :

a series of events, it ordered in a chronological sequence

Reorientation :

A personal comment about the event or what happened in the end.

The Language Feature of Recount Text

-Using the simple past continuous tense, past perfect tense, and past perfect continuous tense.

-Using temporal sequence, e.g. on Saturday, on Monday, on Sunday.

-Focus on specific participant, e.g. I (the writer).

-Using the conjunctions, such as : then, before, after, etc.

-using acyion verb e.g, went, stayed.
